SINCE this was painted onto my pout by a make-up artist at a beauty launch last week, I have become totally OBSESSED with it, and it hasn’t left my handbag.
It really does live up to the promise of lasting 24hours. Unless you really scrub it off then it will not budge from your lips.
One side of the product contains the colour – my favourite is Fire Coral, a gorgeous orange that doesn’t look OTT, but gives a pop of colour to your face.
Top tip – don’t slather it on too thickly otherwise it will crack and flake and, frankly, make you look a bit crazy.
You only need a thin layer, but it will last as long as you want it to.
The alternative side of the product has a balm in it, to keep your lips soft and plump. Personally I found it too dry, and not buttery enough so I’d prefer to use my normal Vaseline or Carmex.
For me – summer is all about bright lips, so I’ve been teaming this Maybelline Lipcolor with lashings of mascara, a wash of highlighter over the high points of my cheeks and just a dab of concealer to give my sun-kissed face (thanks to a recent trip to Malta) a more even complexion.
It’s only £8.99, but the way I’ve been using it, I might have to buy a replacement soon.
