Earlier this month Pillow Mag Editor Angharad Llewellyn went on the trip of a lifetime to the idyllic island of Barbados.
A week in the sunshine, searching for green moneys, snorkelling with sea turtles, swimming in the warm Caribbean Sea and sipping on pina coladas… is there anything more super-fun?
Possibly not, but partying in the warm midnight air with the sand between my toes at Harbour Lights club was pretty unforgettable. As was drinking Champagne and dancing Bajan style at party hotspot The Gap. I recommend heading to The Sugar Lounge if you want some serious schooling in how to do the Dutty Wine.

For a brilliant trip out on the open sea, don’t miss the Cool Runnings catamaran day trip – after swimming with the aforementioned sea turtles and exploring shipwrecks, they feed you rum, an amazing lunch and dance all the way back to port. Such fun.
And an Island Safari Jeep Tour made me cry with laughter – firstly because the driver was hilarious, with the typical Bajan humour, and secondly because I was hardly able to stay on my seat while we were off-roading through huge muddy puddles and through trees that whipped around the van.
Accomodation was courtesy of Sandals Barbados, and flights, including access to the V Room 0 and an upgrade to Upper Class, were provided by Virgin Holidays.
Here’s a photo diary from Barbados. And don’t forget to Pillow Magazine on Instagram for more travel, art, fashion and beauty photographs.
