OXFAM cordially invite you to their sixth annual Oxfam Music Festival that boasts a stellar lineup performing charity shop gigs and fundraising music events throughout October.
7000 musicians ranging from chart acts to local sponsored buskers will perform in 800 venues up and down the country next month and will open with four launch gigs in Oxfam’s Dalston store at the end of this month. Previous artists who have performed the Oxjam shop gigs include Fatboy Slim, Ghostpoet, Jarvis Cocker and Basement Jaxx. Oxjam Takeover will be the highlight of the festival where 44 locations across the UK will host mini festivals on the last weekend of the month. 2000 musicians will perform to an audience of more than 40,000 raising money for the charity.
Monday 24 Sept: Graham Coxon, Theme Park (acoustic set), plus support
Tuesday 25 Sept: Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs DJ set, Breach (Aka Ben Westbeech), plus support
Wednesday 26 Sept: Lucy Rose, Kyla La Grange, plus support
Thursday 27 Sept: Hot Chip & friends including Hot Chip DJ set, The 2 Bears and special guests TBA.
Since 2006 45,000 musicians have played to 900,000 people at over 3,500 Oxjam events, put on by volunteers with a pasion for music and charity, raising in excess of £1.8 million.
