BRAD Pitt and Angelina Jolie trod the red carpet last night for the world premiere of World War Z – Hollywood’s take on the zombie phenomenon.
The appearance marks the first time that the 37-year-old has made a public appearance since revealing she’s had a double mastectomy – a move her long-term partner Brad has called “heroic”.
The A-List couple looked as in love as ever and lent some star power to the preview of the film that many critics have been slating.
World War Z promises much in the trailer, but the film was pushed back several months and the last 40 minutes were re-written at a cost of $200m.
It’s never a good sign when a film is delayed for an overhaul, but as we haven’t seen it yet, we’ll reserve judgement.
Anyway, back to the loved-up superstars that are Brad and Ange.
It’s the first time that brunette human rights activist Angelina has been seen publicly since speaking about her double mastectomy to reduce her risk of contracting breast cancer.
She went public about the operation to try and help other women who have a history of the disease in their family.
Last night she said: “I’ve been very happy just to see the discussion about women’s health expanded — that means the world to me.
“After losing my mum to these issues I’m very grateful for it and I’ve been very moved by the kind support from people.”
Wearing a simple black dress, she was accompanied by two of her six children with Brad – Pax and Maddox.
Rock band Muse also attended the film bash.
World War Z is released on June 21.
